Tevez contemplates City future

Soccer Betting Lines

07/05/2009 - Manchester, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Argentina striker Carlos Tevez does not think the Manchester United fans will boo him if he returns to Old Trafford in a Manchester City shirt.

The 25-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan with Sir Alex Ferguson's side, scoring 34 goals in 89 appearances for the club, but was unable to agree a permanent switch to United.

Tevez, who has been linked with a summer switch to Eastlands, told The People: "If I play for Manchester City, I don't think the United fans will feel I am a traitor.

"It has come about because I could not stand my sporting situation at Manchester United any longer.

"My first year was good in all senses. I played in the games and felt respected by the coach but, in my second year, some strange things happened that I still do not understand.

"After the game at Old Trafford, where Liverpool beat us, Ferguson ignored me, almost as if I was to blame for the defeat when really Liverpool dominated us all over the pitch.

"After that, the fans called for me to be in the team but he never took the advice on board because he always knows best.

"I gave everything for Manchester United and people know that. For that reason, I don't deserve the way things have ended up."

MySportsbook.com Posts Heisman Trophy Odds

With 3,919 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and a mere seven interceptions last season, combined with a powerful South Bend Heisman legacy, odds makers at MySportsbook.com have given Notre Dame senior quarterback Brady Quinn the best Heisman Trophy odds at 5-2.

Quinn isn’t the only big man on campus this season.  Oklahoma junior running back and 2004 Heisman runner-up Adrian Peterson, listed at 7-2, rushed for a combined 3,033 yards in his first two years as a college player and will give Quinn a run for his money.
